- One fan even tweeted that they saw 'huge numbers' leaving the show due to the sound problems
- It is unclear whether former bandmate Victoria Beckham is attending the concert, but the star did take to social media to wish the band well hours before the show
- The fashion designer, 45, declined to take part in the string of performances, with the band continuing as a foursome
- The Spice Girls have planned two special sections of the concert which will highlight absent Posh Spice’s role in the group
- The nationwide 13-date tour, which will see the band perform in Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London with supporting act Jess Glynne, will conclude on June 15
The Spice Girls have kicked off their long-awaited reunion tour, as the iconic band took to the stage for their first performance in Dublin on Friday.
Emma Bunton, 43, Geri Horner, 46, Mel Brown, 43, and Mel C, 45, delighted the crowd of around 58,000 fans with a medley of their greatest hits, and Ginger Spice even paid homage to her iconic Union Jack dress with a red and blue Renaissance-style gown.
While many fans took to Twitter to share their excitement about attending the concert, others were quick to share their disappointment, as sound problems inside the stadium meant they were unable to hear the show, and one fan even claimed they saw 'huge numbers' walking out of the show.
